User questions & answers
Question: | How do you choose size 6C |
Answer: | My almost 6-yr old is 50” and 68 lbs. I got her the 150. In her previous leotard the 140 was fine, so I though this would give grow room. It depends on your daughter’s proportions. Mine is thicker in the waist and broad in the shoulders. It stretches taut - not too tight but just right - over her front. In the back it is a little too long but there is SO much elasticity in it that it doesn’t look baggy or too loose. Just a few folds that let you know it’s not pulled tight. Length from crotch to shoulder is good. The one thing that surprised me is that it comes right up in her armpits. With the extra bodice length, this shouldn’t happen. If anything I would expect them to be too low. She says they don’t hurt. She’s worn it to two classes so far and is never in a hurry to take it off so it must be ok despite how it looks. Any bigger would have been too baggy in the back. It is soft and washes well. |
Question: | So confusing are we supposed to order true size like it says or two sizes down |
Answer: | I purchased these ballet dresses for my twin grandaughters who will be celebrating their 6th BD's 9/24. If you can wait for an answer, I'll let you know their answer. They have a slim body-build, so hopefully the material is stretchy so they can get right out of their dance dresses without any trouble. |
Question: | On the bloch site, b is a narrow. when i put one of these shoes in my amazon cart, it comes up as b. if i don't want a narrow shoe, what should i do |
Answer: | I am not sure, but I believe 120 is a just size the Chineses use. I don’t believe it’s for centimeters because I bought 150 for my daughter and she is 127 centimeters tall. The dress fits perfect for her. She usually use size 7. She is 6 years now. |
Question: | So if i wear a 6.5 or 7 in us sizes what size would i wear. I found the sizing chart confusing |
Answer: | She’s worn hers once a week for the past 7 months. I wash it after ever dance class in the washing machine. I’ve never seen a single sparkle fall off. In fact, the leotard still looks like new. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these pointe shoes |
Answer: | No, these are soft-toed ballet slippers |
Question: | I'm confused by sizing, what size should I get for a big kid regular shoe size |
Answer: | These are little kids’ shoes and they don’t go up that large, although the same style is available in an adult’s shoe. You probably want a size 3 and they come in four different widths (A being narrowest, through D which is widest). |
Question: | My daughter is a kids size 1, so what size should I buy |
Answer: | I went to to size chart and they have size based on what your actual foot measures with a tape measure. I went by that. You could maybe even go up a half size if that’s an option to give extra growth room since you can tighten the shoe with the draw strings. |
Question: | What is a 1.5 little kid? Is that a C or a B |
Answer: | 1.5 is the size and yes based on the Girls notation in description would be a little kid. The B and C relates to the width. B is the more narrower of the 2. |
Product features
Jacob Bloch, a shoe maker by trade, emigrated to Australia in 1930 during the height of The Great Depression.
Jacob's love of music and dancing took him to the local ballet schools and at one of these schools he noticed a young dancer struggling to stay en pointe. Jacob promised he would make her a better pair of pointe shoes to dance in, and so he did.
Jacob’s reputation for making high-quality dance footwear spread rapidly.
Jacob’s shoes became so well-known and sought after, that it sparked the creation of a full range of dance footwear and dance fashion products. The brand grew rapidly and over time became the BLOCH we know and love.
Today, BLOCH has a reputation as one of the most trusted in the industry and is still fulfilling the promise made by its founder close to nine decades ago; "to make the most comfortable dance shoe in the world".
