Answer:	I just wanted to add that my son wore this over his regular clothes of jeans and a long sleeve shirt and there was still plenty of room for him to move around...he weighs 60 Lbs. was 55 inches tall when I bought this last Fall, like I said before tall and lanky, it was still plenty big on him, we used the belt/sash to bring up the pants part a bit. I don't see how this could possibly fit a size 5 child unless they are wearing husky size and even then the legs would be long.

Answer:	I am not really sure of the type of fabric. It feels like a soft polyester nylon type fabric. Similar to parachute fabric. It is smooth and soft. It holds up pretty well. My son has worn it several times and it is still in great condition.

I hemmed the leg's length and he was ok with the arms because he wore oversized garden gloves with the outfit to give it a "Martian/astronaut" look. I hope this helps.
