What inspired you to write a series on regrettable comic book characters?

We’re in the middle of a superhero boom in movies, but most of the heroes who are getting a shot at silver screen success are the flagships characters—X-Men, Batman, Hulk, Thor, Superman—the characters who always get all the attention. I thought it would be fun to shine a light on the lesser-known characters.

What type of research did you do?

Over the course of my lifetime, I’ve read literally tens of thousands of comic books. For the series, I reinvested in a small library of several hundred more books, dove into public domain archives, and started up conversations with comics scholars on three continents!

Who is your favorite regrettable superhero?

I have a great deal of affection for The Red Bee, a two-fisted assistant district attorney whose sole superpower was that he had trained a single bee, named Michael, to help him fight crime. I like to say of him, 'Few have tried so hard to do so much with so little'.

Answer:	Hello,Thanks for your inquiry. It comes with the mask and the cape. The cape has a velcro attachment around the neck and the mask just has some elastic that is adjustable behind the head.

Answer:	I bought this for my son who was 4 at the time. the mask was a little bit big for his face. I tighten the elastic by putting a small knot in it and it stayed in place. He loved it. I mostly bought it for the child sized cape (because my numerous attempts at shortening the adult capes I found all turned out horribly). The cape is perfect. I would think that for a 6 year-old this mask/cape set should work. The mask fits me (can fit an adult face) but it is sculped so nicely that I didn't mind it being a bit too big. It's the only mask I found that immediately let's others know that you are dressed up to be batman. Hope this helps.

Answer:	there is an attached flap with elastic at the bottom that goes under your foot/shoe to keep in place. its not full boot or full piece their foot slides in.

Answer:	The mask that came with the costume i bought was attached to the cape. Also the mask is a cloth one that feels like the same material as the cape. It is not a hard mask that the picture makes it out to be.

Answer:	The one in this listing is a Medium (shown by the product number in the product details section) though it should be showing a size option and not sure why Amazon is not showing it.
