| Answer: | It comes with really plain, pointed spikes ~5mm, which look like a pyramid with sides only at the bottom (like the very early Egyptians before they perfected it lol). We buy replacement spikes from our local sports store at the track ($10) and prefer Xmas Tree spikes, which look like a very skinny version of an Aztec stepped pyramid and are 7mm in length.I'm sure you can get spikes on line or anywhere that sells spikes (the shoes). (Probably even Amazon! But definitely eastbay and everythingtrackandfield.com) It's all a matter of personal preference and what you are doing whilst wearing the spikes - different spikes are needed for jumping events. We run track middle distance and sprints. Xmas Tree pulls out fastest from the rubbery, synthetic track surface but grips well. The spikes this shoe comes with are adequate for most people except jumpers, where really only the length is the significant different after personal preference (longer for jump events).
