Answer:	I have a couple of dozen fo various compression shirts and they all fit me the way I expect. If you do not like your clothes tight I would order a larger size, but compression shirts are meant to be worn skin tight. Order your regular shirt size. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Just my opinion, I would get a Medium-Large. Pajamas are usually big for their stated size; however, you want more of a tight fit with thermal underwear as to keep the heat in, and usually warn under regular clothing. So I would say medium. Everything fits differently, but I would say the medium would be a better choice under a large shirt.

At the start of the hike when temp is in low 20's use this top and a thin polyester fitting sweater, after an hour of hike and as temp approaches 30, I remove the sweater, and hike in just this base layer for the next 3 hours. Still have to remove my backpack cause my back is too hot/sweating. I have also used to $50 meriwool mid weight base layer and did not find any difference in warmth, but Tesla is softer to the skin
