| Answer: | I wear these around the house - an adult woman - I am 5ft 2in and about 110 pounds. I have an inseam that is about 28-29 inches. These do not drag on the floor but do gather a bit around my ankles because they are tapered. These are a thicker material than standard track pants, they have a tad bit of structure where as a standard track pant is floppy and you can feel a breeze through them. These are not lined but the material is 'brushed' on the inside where as it is smooth on the outside. Since they are made for a boy they are a bit long in the crotch for me :) and I'd never wear them out of the house but I like them for around the house - better than sweats and since I am certainly a 'small adult' (my sister calls me a 'child sized adult" :-) it is a chore to find pants that don't drag on the ground and get under foot (folding and hemming just gets old and changes the fit of a pant unless you actually 'alter' them). So given my short stature these have been a good option for me. i find the Large and XL are very similar in size. The XL is a tiny bit more roomy in the hips and has a longer crotch vs the Large. Also the XL is a bit longer in the legs but I bought a large and x-large and kept them both since they fit so similar to each other. I'd be surprised if someone 5'7 could fit in to these. I'd say he has moved in to "mens" clothing sizes at least in the legs, but my brother is 5'8 and was 120 until 30 (when his son was born...now he's pushin' 200!!! :) We used to tease him about how skinny he was but when I got married all the guys bought new suits and I am sure my husband would have told me if my mid-20's brother needed to buy a boys suit :) So...he may be better off in mens clothes now. Hope this helps someone. ...Also, my hips are probably about 35-37 and thighs about 19in with a waist about 25-26 if that helps. |
