Answer:	Not for me, My baby is six weeks and he is not a big baby. Maybe if the baby is bigger it would work. I use this lounger when i want my baby in bed next to me. He likes it a lot.

Answer:	I currently have a 2 month old and he is already beginning to grow out of it. My baby is a little bigger than most but not by much and he can push himself and squirm right out of it so no, not ideal for a 1 year old. They do have baby bean bags for most ages though! Could try that!
