I took it to a mobile phone repair shop who tried "UNLOCK" it however, they returned it two days later saying it "COULDN'T" be unlocked. Thankfully, I wasn't charged for the attempted repair. I ended up purchasing a new unlocked Motor g Play (XT2083-3) Which I recommend as a wonderful replacement. Again, I am truly hesitant to say anything negative about AMAZON, but it's the seller that needs to be reviewed. My advise where buying a mobile from a seller on AMAZON ... DON'T
