I don't know what you experienced, but it needs a sim card, get in touch with your carrier for that, I could not use my old card it didn't fit the moto z.

Answer:	For me, the phone is too new to find out how long the battery will function. I can say that I've never had it run down to less than 50% charge in one 24-hour period (I don't shut it off or leave it plugged in overnight; I charge it fully then just leave it on with the screen off overnight so as to not miss any calls). I've had mine 5 months now and it still works as it did when new.

Answer:	my g7 optimo still gets upgrades. they just are not as fast as others getting them out. i do have to retire it at the end of the year however. they sent the message my phone is not votle ready and wont work in 2021. so maybe the one will be its replacement.

Answer:	I love when companies do this. It's merely to trick you into not purchasing unlocked phones and purchase there phones. Now while some phones that are unlock have there share of trouble connecting to AT&T network, ultimately once you install your AT&T Sim card into the phone and restart phone it'll connect. I've been doing this with all kinds of phones and I've been with AT&T throughout 3 company name changes.

It is very broadly supported worldwide on most any service provider’s network, as long as you have a SIM card that connects to whatever you choose to pay for. I’m on Verizon which worked fine in the Caribbean islands, Mexico & Canada. If I travel to Europe, it’ll work. If I go someplace my current carrier doesn’t? Just find a local service & buy their SIM card & service for the period you are there...
Question:	I cannot find a provider that has the Sim for this phone. Money down the drain? Help
Answer:	I ran into this issue as well (in the US) after purchase. Apparently this is an international (dual sim) model with limited compatibility. I had to run the IMEI on carrier sites. US carriers I did find the IMEI was compatible on: Ting, Cricket, Pure Talk, Metro PCS (though it warned of dropped calls and lower call quality) US carriers IMEI was not compatible with: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Straight Talk Some of the other small time carriers only asked if it was gsm unlocked and said it was compatible... but I would not trust them.

Answer:	Be aware that this international version does not support Band 71. T mobile is now deploying this band and it will be a major part of their 4G/5G network. If you can't receive this band you will not be able to use this part of T Mobile's network. The US version of this phone does receive Band 71 coverage.(
