Answer:	I have an unlocked T-Mobile LG G7 that I purchased from Amazon renewed in November of 2019. While the phone wasn't completely unlocked it was very easy to do so. I simply selected T-Mobile unlock app, follow the directions, and then the phone was unlocked and available to be used on any GSM carrier including AT&T. I have used AT&T ever since the purchase of this phone and have had no problems whatsoever!

Answer:	The phone is unlocked. I suspect that the branding means it comes pre-loaded with ATT software apps, which you can delete. I bought one branded for Amazon. I kept a lot of the software (but not all), and moved it into a folder so it is not intrusive. The real issue is whether a phone is built for CDMA or GSM networks. Both T-Mobile and ATT are GSM phones, so that is not an issue. But you should *not* buy a phone branded for Verizon, Sprint, or US Cellular. (GSM became the standard because the EU mandated that there be one. I believe that CDMA technology was invented in the USSR but now Qualcomm is the major chip maker for CDMA. Neither is better than the other, but they are not compatible.)
