I did have to have straight talk configure my phone when I first switch to them, they talked me through it over the phone. Answer:	With the screen facing up. Your going to look on your left side and insert the pin that came with it . And push hard until it pop open.

Answer:	This POS worked in Ecuador (MovieStar) for a total of one and a half weeks, then went total black screen...I could not recommend this phone under any circumstances.
