The information used to support canning in pressure cookers was based on research done in the late 1970's. The current recommendation from the United States Department of Agriculture indicates that to pressure can you will need to use a vessel that is specially a pressure canner, which holds at minimum four quart-size jars. Note that pressure canners are generally 12-quart size or larger. Answer:	Respectfully, any time I've ever had problems over the decades with beans not cooking evenly it was invariably due to a batch of mixed old AND new beans. This happens more than you might think, and unfortunately a recent purchase of mine of small red beans in 25 lb. bulk are proving to be exactly that. Soaking an extra couple of hours seems to help a little (10 hours instead of 8) and then bringing to full heat and pressure a little more slowly, then pressure cooking one extra minute than you normally would. All those things together will help when old and new beans have been mixed together.

Answer:	Whooooo.... this is a tough one but it can be done... here's what you'll need: 2 rolls of masking tape, 3 inches of duct tape, neon yellow, periwinkle, and amber colored NON-TOXIC paint (preferably edible finger paints), super glue, 2 sugar packets, an eyedropper, 2 toddlers and a bowl of rice crispies. (And of course the tub stopper and dining room chairs.) In order to get the perfect match between tub stopper and dining chairs please remove the right front leg from each chair and replace it with the rear left leg of the chair to the right of it. Using the super glue (NOT THE DUCT TAPE) place 11 rice crispies on the center back of each chair starting at the center and working your way outward. (If you are struggling to keep them from sliding down pluck strands of hair from a barbie doll and tie them in place. DO NOT LAY THE CHAIRS FLAT ON THEIR BACKS! (that's cheating) Next... Using the eyedropper place 3 drops of amber paint in each toddler's left palm, 2 drops on periwinkle paint in each toddler's right palm and 1/2 drop of neon yellow paint on the tip of YOUR nose NOT THE TODDLER'S! (we're not heathens here!) Wearing the remaining masking tape as bracelets carry the chairs to your bath tub. Ask the toddlers to play patty cakes (this is VERY IMPORTANT TO PROPERLY MIX THE PAINTS) while you pour 1 packet of sugar in your hair and the other down the drain. Place 2 chairs in the tub. Stand on the chairs placing one foot on each while holding the other 2 BOTH in your left hand. Use your right hand to place the stopper in the tub and VOILA!!! The stopper matches the dining room chairs.
