Answer:	You have to buy them or go to your provider. But I will say that is well worth it, this is the best phone I think I ever had. I use to buy over priced name brand phones to have them crap out, this phone is awesome and I am yet to have a problem.

Answer:	This phone is GSM and Verizon is CDMA, as is Sprint. Almost any other US phone company is GSM So no this won't work with Verizon. Try Consumer Cellular. Their prices can't be beat and they have the best consumer rating in the business for about three years running now. I have two lines, unlimited calls and texts, but only 250 MB of data on each and we pay $40 a month. Calls from one of our phones to the other don't count as minutes. And, sweethearts that they are, if you DO go over your data, they don't charge you all the extra minutes like most others. They just bump you up to the next level (about $5 more) and you can just go back down the next month, or stay in the higher level if you think it's better for you. Good luck. Hope that helps.

First - this is a GSM phone, so it will NOT WORK on CDMA carriers like Verizon or Sprint in USA. It does seem to work on international GSM carriers just fine, at least so far, in Europe (including Russia) and in Thailand and VietNam. Other places, I do not know yet. Second - you CANNOT turn a GSM phone into a CDMA phone with settings or software. The radio either has that capability, or it does not. This one does not. Third - the User manual for most phones is available online, so you should check it out BEFORE buying a phone. Boring, yes, but less trouble than returning the phone. Last - this is a good basic smartphone, and a great value for the cost. But you cannot compare it to a thousand dollar phone, so do not. Mine has been used heavily and survived. I got it as "disposable" and it has outlasted more expensive phones. Once it is retired, I will use it as an internet device.
