| Answer: | sony basically picked hdr over dolby vision in 2016; perhaps they'll do both at some point, but from what I read: an update wont be able to add dolby vision to any electronic device that doesn't already have it, since vision is actually a processing chip that would need to be on circuit board in the device, pass Dolby's certification process, and pay license fees. |
