Answer:	Spoke to an Arris rep on their tech hot line on/about 4-10-18. He stated that Arris no longer supports the TM1602. Yet Optimum tech stated a couple of days earlier that 1602 is the newer model and is recommended by Optimum (though the 822 would work as well). Can anyone shed light on Arris' support of the 1602? My concern is that Optimum might not support the 1602 to the level needed given that I am seeking to buy my own modem and avoid the $10/month modem rental fee.
