Answer:	I don't think this receiver will work well in any type of case that increases the distance between the coils on the transmitter and receiver.

Answer:	Once the receiver is plugged in and under your case (as most are), it's not that easy to remove the plug so you can plug into your car.
Question:	How easy is it to take this case off in order to apply a moto mod? In other words, how flexible
Answer:	Depends if the life proof case is all hard plastic or soft silicone. I have a silicone case on my phone and because it had a little give I could definitely fit this device in there. I measured out the thickest part of the device and it measures approximately 1.5mm thick, roughly the equivalent of 14-15 sheets of post-it notes. Take about 7 post-it notes, fold it half and see if it will fit in your case.
