Answer:	The front and back of the case are sticky so when you clean your phone and put it in the case it sticks to it, so since I took it off and put it back on it doesnt stick anymore and dog hair constantly sneaks in. But before I did that, it kept my phone completely dust and dog hair free. My advice.. get it, just don’t take it off until you’re ready to replace it.

Answer:	I cannot say for sure. If your current holster is case specific I'm inclined to say no. The Commuter and the Defender are different enough that the case is most likely not compatible. However, if it's a generic/non phone case specific holster, then maybe. I use the Commuter and a glass screen protector. The bumper is too thick and did not allow he charger to get a reliable connection with the phone, leaving the phone sometimes only partially charged even sitting overnight on the charger. If you don’t use a wireless charger it might work for you.
