Answer:	There is an layer covered over each of the phone's "buttons." But they are cut out to exactly fit each one, over both volume controls of up or down, over the access button to Bixby and also over the power button. This phone case in my opinion is designed extremely well.

Answer:	It covers all edges, corners and back. It does NOT cover the screen. I love it! It's thin, soft and have dropped my phone numerous times and it has protected it. You won't be disappointed!

Answer:	I'm using Qmadix Invisible First-Defense+ NanoGlass-Screen Protector. I've never been a big fan of screen protectors, but was sold on this nano tech product with $150 screen replacement warranty. It was recommended by Sprint salesperson @ Costco
