How to install?

Please break the case down into 3 pieces first, you need to open the hard plastic two part case and place your phone in there, then snap it shut. Answer:	I hope this might answer part of the question. My husband had the same problem on his Otter Box IPhone case, this is how he solved the problem. "The Otter holster has a very strong clip. To avoid damaging the pawl, or recess, on the frame of the IPhone, hold the clip back with your finger so it doesn't smash down and break the pawl (catch).To fix the problem of a broken pawl, turn your phone 180 degrees and use the other pawl, which fortunately is on the other side of the frame".
