Answer:	Ripped a hole right off my dash. My car is a 2004 Lexus and the dash material ripped right off. Didn't even have a chance to use GooGone or floss. Used the second replacement sticky pad to adhere to my panel, only it didn't even last a month before it just fell off. The magnet works great but the pads for the base are terrible.

Answer:	I can say that it does stop any scratches from hitting the glass but if the scratch is deep & hard enough, nothing will stop the scratch. I don't believe it will stop the glass from breaking since any impact that is struck hard enough will cause breakage. I had the silver one on & did a 'cement scratch' when I was doing sanding on the ground, the silver on the corner scratched off but the plastic stayed in-take & no damage was done to the watch itself. These covers have saved me a few times with painting & scratching.
