Answer:	The sticky gel is without a doubt flypaper tacky but more like a melted Gummy Bear and less like a Super Glue adhesive. It will definitely stick to your dash, even a textured one, but you won't need a putty knife to scrape it off your windshield or dash in the event you need to move it. Once pressed into position, it seems to maintain a reliable and secure grip (mine hasn't fallen into my lap yet). The combo sticky gel/suction cup keeps it securely in place. In the event the holder needs to be removed or relocated, it is possible a small sampling of the sticky gel where the mount was previously positioned will remain. I have had success using a micro cloth with mild soap or detergent to remove any gooey remnants. A mild solvent works well also. For those MPOW buyers of the Sticky Gel/Suction Cup phone holder, stay vigilant if you live in a high temp climate. In Phoenix, AZ it tends to get quite toasty over 300 days a year.
