Answer:	Yes. I use a shure lavalier mic into external mic jack on my camera. Then, both audio and video are transmitted by hdmi cable through u-tap into my computer. Only thing you have to do on your computer interface is select u-tap as video source and again as audio source. Works like a breeze.
