Answer:	I now have the iPhone 6 Plus. However, when I used this on my iPhone 5S I didn't even bother to use the home button cover and almost a year later the button is still flawless.I decided not to use it because the home button on the new iPhones are made of sapphire crystal and are pretty much scratch proof, in addition to the button being recessed.

It's just water and very little soap, nothing that can't evaporate.
