Answer:	This power bank IS a LiPoly battery. Lithium Polymer batteries are in most devices that need extra power, without extra weight. The trade-off is that they can catch fire. Some Airlines won't let you carry a huge power bank due to the risk. When the power bank dies, it is tme to replace the unit. I've had power banks that have lasted over 15 years, so it'll most likely last you a long time. I really like this one, for the power delivery, which is working for both an input and output on my power bank. A lot of the other units with PD are much more expensive.
