Answer:	I have never let my power pack discharge to empty. My power pack has had 3 lights lit and it took 2 weeks before the 4th light became solid. The power pack is advertised as the solar panel is only meant to charge the power pack in an emergency.

Answer:	Green light comes on if it's receiving charge from solar, and the blue lights light up in sequence to tell you it's getting some sort of charge (similar to what they do when you charge from an AC source); as others have said, it may take 55 hours or more in the sun to fully charge from the sun, so not sure how much the solar is actually worth (many of us, this was the reason for buying). As others have answered to similar question, it appears that it can also direct charge from the sun if you attach a cable to your phone, so maybe in a true emergency you can get enough charge to make a call or something.
