Answer:	Not sure what crack the previous guy was smoking, but almost all external DACs are USB 2.0, not 3.0. I've successfully used micro-USB to USB-C adapters to run DACs on my HTC 10, but I've never tried a mini-USB to USB-C cable. I would assume it would work fine, but without having tried it, I can't be 100% sure.

Answer:	My experience is similar, but I've been able to get it to work by: Plugging the usb connector to the charger and an electric source, plugging into an open slot on the TV (I have 3 hdmi's on my TV and it is a relatively new SAMSUNG TV), turning on the TV and directing it to the HDMI port that the Note 2 is plugged in to - observing the screen of the Note 2 on the TV to be sure the video is working. - rebooting the note 2 - bringing note 2 volume to max, bringing TV's volume up until I can hear the note 2 audio (sometimes I have to raise the TV volume quite high). Interestingly, my son has a Note 3 and nothing we do will allow the audio to come through on the same Samsung TV. Hope this helps.

I've been moaning every time I've had to buy a Tether Tools 15' cable to tether my shooting and having to pay around $60. Couldn't believe the cost and I don't mind spending money on equipment. I bought one of these based on reviews and have been using it for about 1.5 months. It's GREAT! Heavier duty than the Tether Tools cable USB-A end snaps into the computer better, transfer is just as fast, at least, and images are tack-sharp. Could not be happier. Bought a second as a back up after testing out the first one. In my opinion it is a better cable for 1/7th the price.
