Answer:	Yes, the bridge is packaged separately and you must install it in the correct position. I accomplished this by using the Cleartune app (highly recommended) on my iPhone and adjusting the position of the bridge until the octave fret produced a doubling of frequency on the four lower strings. The set-up took about 15 minutes.
