Answer:	The JODI vac consists of a needle in a red fitting, a filter assembly which houses the element that collects all the wax and other debris, and an indicator ball which shows when there is suction to operate the cleaner. Jodi says that all of these components are replaceable and they will sell you what you need. I presume the clear plastic syringe portion is what you want to replace. I have purchased a pack of these from Jodi at a reasonable price. Call Jodi at 503-774-4851 or 866-856-5634 and they will assist you. Don't try to clean it; just throw the used one away.

Answer:	I know that Jodi carries these needles and sells them otherwise. It would be difficult to find such a blunt needle elsewhere.

Answer:	I think the Pro model mainly just has more suction. My hearing aid specialist told me that my consumer model would be just fine if I use it about once a week. Instructions say every day. Probably had mine for about 6 months and really like it. Keeps me from having to make extra trips to get them cleaned.

What is Ear Gear and what materials are used?

How do I decide whether to order a Corded or Cordless model of Ear Gear?

In the case of infants, small children or seniors, the Corded model is always recommended as protection against loss. For older children, teens, and adults many times the Cordless model is recommended as the main concern is sweat, moisture, and wind noise protection. However, if the teen or adult is involved in a strenuous physical activity where hearing instruments can fall off, a model of Ear Gear with cord and clip would be suggested.

What function does the o-ring on the Corded models perform?

The o-ring on all of Ear Gear’s Corded models are designed to slide up against the head preventing hearing instruments with Ear Gear from ‘flopping’ off the wearer's ears. The O-ring also streamlines the cords.

Ear Gear Eyeglasses is a spandex sleeve with 1 or 2 "O-rings" sewn on the sleeve (it depends on the size of the Ear Gear sleeve whether there are 1 or 2 O-rings attached). To install Ear Gear Eyeglasses, simply slide the arm of your glasses through the O-ring(s). Ear Gear attaches to your eyeglasses and provide security for your hearing instrument. It is a personal preference whether to use one or both O-rings.

What should I do when my Ear Gear sleeve becomes saturated with moisture or dirty?

Ear Gear continues to retain moisture until the sleeve becomes saturated. Once saturated, we recommend you change the sleeve similarly to how you would change your clothing. This ensures your hearing instruments are completely protected.

Ear Gear’s function is to trap sweat and dirt which requires regular washing of the product. As Ear Gear is made of spandex, it can be washed many times and still maintains its elasticity. We recommend hand washing Ear Gear in warm water and a mild detergent (no bleach). A drop of dish soap or a small amount zero or Woolite all work equally well. Then rinse your Ear Gear under cold running water and allow it to drip dry. Ear Gear should not be put in the washing machine or dryer but can be put into a Dry & Store. If using a Dry & Store, remove Ear Gear from the hearing instrument.

Measure your Hearing Instrument

Ear Gear is great, but it only works properly if you measure your hearing instrument first! Ear Gear Mini fits hearing aids 1 to 1.25 inches (2.5 - 3.2 cm). You will need to measure your hearing aid to make sure that Ear Gear Mini fits correctly.

Answer:	It’s some sort of cotton polyester because it stretches a little. Was looking for neoprene but this was all I could find. After researching online and seeing that the steep price shown is common, I bought them. Only regret not buying the smaller size for my Kirkland hearing aids. I sweat heavily and these work for me.

How do I decide whether to order a Corded or Cordless model of Ear Gear?

In the case of infants, small children or seniors, the Corded model is always recommended as protection against loss. For older children, teens, and adults many times the Cordless model is recommended as the main concern is sweat, moisture, and wind noise protection. However, if the teen or adult is involved in a strenuous physical activity where hearing instruments can fall off, a model of Ear Gear with cord and clip would be suggested.

What function does the o-ring on the Corded models perform?

The o-ring on all of Ear Gear’s Corded models are designed to slide up against the head preventing hearing instruments with Ear Gear from ‘flopping’ off the wearer's ears. The O-ring also streamlines the cords.

Ear Gear Eyeglasses is a spandex sleeve with 1 or 2 "O-rings" sewn on the sleeve (it depends on the size of the Ear Gear sleeve whether there are 1 or 2 O-rings attached). To install Ear Gear Eyeglasses, simply slide the arm of your glasses through the O-ring(s). Ear Gear attaches to your eyeglasses and provide security for your hearing instrument. It is a personal preference whether to use one or both O-rings.

What should I do when my Ear Gear sleeve becomes saturated with moisture or dirty?

Ear Gear continues to retain moisture until the sleeve becomes saturated. Once saturated, we recommend you change the sleeve similarly to how you would change your clothing. This ensures your hearing instruments are completely protected.

Ear Gear’s function is to trap sweat and dirt which requires regular washing of the product. As Ear Gear is made of spandex, it can be washed many times and still maintains its elasticity. We recommend hand washing Ear Gear in warm water and a mild detergent (no bleach). A drop of dish soap or a small amount zero or Woolite all work equally well. Then rinse your Ear Gear under cold running water and allow it to drip dry. Ear Gear should not be put in the washing machine or dryer but can be put into a Dry & Store. If using a Dry & Store, remove Ear Gear from the hearing instrument.

Measure your Hearing Instrument

Ear Gear is great, but it only works properly if you measure your hearing instrument first! Ear Gear Original fits hearing aids 1.25 to 2 inches (3.2 - 5 cm). You will need to measure your hearing aid to make sure that Ear Gear Original fits correctly.
