Answer:	No, you create your own passcode when you turn on and boot for the first time

Answer:	You would need to go on line and ask Dell about that. I can tell you that Dell will do an online diagnostic on the laptop and that should give you an idea of how well it functions. Also, even though Dell is not making drivers to specifically handle with Windows 10 for the E6420, I downloaded it on for my laptop and am not aware of any negative issues so far. I love this lap top, actually, and getting a refurbished E6420 (which originally sold for almost $2,000.00) is still a lot better than getting a new $400.00 p.o.s from Best Buy or Office Depot.
