Hope this helps! I am mostly worried about my eldest daughter, she and her boyfriend live in a 120 year old building. If a serious earthquake hits, they could be in real trouble. The five year shelf life is from the date stamp on each of these items and covers the items staying fresh during that time. We have found that they still taste great after but we always recommend replacing them at that point. Its bug enough for 4 IV catheters, 2 15ggt sets, and 2 500ml bags of saline solution. They could give more tape and maybe a SamSplint but....... |

I’ve bought a couple of different “kits” or backpacks and am taking the best most useful items out and creating my own kit that has items that will work best for me. I’m actually creating two, one for my mother. I’ve read several books on big out bag supplies and am tailoring our kits accordingly. That being said, this kit had two long light sticks that can be used like flashlights or flash repeatedly red for a signal light. Also a headlight with band to wrap around your head and a really wonderful solar powered lantern you blow up. It’s great! So, for two people, no. But to help create a great kit for you & loved one, I’d say it has some very useful items in it. The Three I mentioned just because I’ve never run across them in any other kit. |
