Answer:	IF the machine has the hookups (microphone in) then yes. IF you are using it for serious speech recognition (DragonNaturallySpeaking) as in reports, longer letters, etc....the better the processor, the more RAM, the less frustration you'll have. I have used on a Celeron processor with 4GB RAM without great problem but it is better with my Dell Latitude which has an i5 and 8GB RAM.
