User questions & answers
Question: | Is the 400 lbs pulling force on the flat part of the disc or on the outside circumference of the disc |
Answer: | Flat side. This thing is dangerous. Be careful. |
Question: | Would this magnet open a Sentry Safe |
Answer: | I tried to open a sentry safe and it did not work for me. |
Question: | Will this magnet open a safe |
Answer: | Only certain models with thin doors where the solenoid is within the magnets reach. |
Question: | will it hold up under windy conditions |
Answer: | I guess that all depends on what you are doing with it. Just the magnet itself stuck to a flat sheet of steel will hold firmly under a variety of conditions. If you are looking at attaching a sail, awning, canopy, or something else with a large surface area to it, it may not. Also, if you exceed the stated weight capacity, it's going to pull off. I'm not a magnet expert, so you'll be taking your chances with whatever application you use it for. I just got them for magnet fishing for the kids. |
Question: | If I used one of these to pull on and one to stand on, could I climb a big beautiful wall made of steel slats |
Answer: | Hello, I am not sure they would be large enough to stand on. Also, I am not sure what the weight of the individual standing on them will be. Hook magnets used in a vertical position can have a reduction to about 50-75% the original disclosed pull force. I hope this helps. Respectfully, Faye |
Question: | What's the thread size of the hook |
Answer: | Hello, Thank you for contacting us. The thread size is 10mm. Respectfully,Faye |
Question: | Will this stick to granite rock |
Answer: | If the granite rock is made of iron, then yes. If the granite rock is made of granite, then no. |
