It was jus some redness with normal suction when I went over my face the first time which that's to be expected, but I think I got to carried away seeing the oils and things coming out and went over my face again & turned the suction up so long as you keep the suction at a minimum I think you should be good on the bruising part. I only used it that one time as I jus received it not even a week ago other than my experience on my test run I do like it.
