Answer:	I recommend against getting one with a back. The back encourages sitting too far back in the saddle and slouching against the back. On a saddle stool, you naturally sit more upright, so there is no need for a back.

Answer:	I use this chair off and on all day at work. I might sit for an hour or two at one time. I do not believe that if I sat on it longer that it would hurt. I find it very comfortable. It takes some getting used to, but once that initial sitting is over, I love it.

Answer:	I’m an LMT “ licenses massage therapist”. Meaning I’m in a carpeted room at one job then a hardwood at the other. The only problem I have with this prosaic is the wheels. I’m not a lite man I’m 6-0 280-290 plus palling pressure at different points. So to answer your question I get a heavier caster wheel assembly at my local hardware store. So to answer the question yes it’s rates to 300 lbs and yes I use this and apply force through this product making it over 300lbs. I would not recommend it if you have poor standing and/or sitting balance as any chair with wheels is a challenge for an individual with poor overall balance. I would also recommend one of those floor protective coverings that you often see in offices if you plan on using it over a hardwood floor in order to protect the floor from scratches.
