Answer:	Bought mine years ago based on the "hype" and I liked the way it handled but didn't see a monsterdifference. I think it just fit well against my lid and reached all lashes from edge to edge. It felt good to handle and squeeze and I didn't have issues with right vs left hand/eye. What is critical is the shape of the curler and how well it fits against YOUR eyelid to pick up lashes.Shu has a softer silicone pad that does do a softer curved crimp for me vs the acute 90 degree bend with a harder rubber pad like Shiseido. I can skip the 3 crimp (base, middle, tip) technique with my Shu curler with Shu pad. It does a great job for me with shorter stick straight lashes. I used to heat my curlers w/ my hair dryer to get a better holding curl. Idon't have to heat with Shu. The choice of mascara (H2O proof, watery or dry, fibers or not) and brush shape(comb or bristles) is the other part of the whole eyelash process. What does the hype say?Googled it and found from InStyle magazine: Unlike most in its category, this tool "is easy to hold and fits all eye shapes," says L.A. makeup pro Megan Lanoux. Answer:	It comes with one refill. I only use the 2 that it comes with and then I get a new one. Seems like it doesn't work as well after using the refill. I am not sure if you can buy refills for it or not. I know I haven't been very helpful but that is what I do. I love these eyelash curlers. They are the best I have ever used and I will continue to buy them as long as they keep making them!

Answer:	I agree, the one I received was fake. I have used She Uemura curlers exclusively for over a decade because they are so gentle. The one I received from Amazon pulled my eyelashes out when I used it. It's so horrible and damaging to your eyes. When I tried to post a review warning others it is fake, Amazon legit sent me a threatening message that I should "consider this my first warning" and that my post "violated community guidelines." This giant company is seriously picking on an American citizen because I was...honest and outed a fake product. Clearly they don't care about the customers, which makes sense given how they treat their workers. I'm offended by this threatening message and let them know that. I cannot believe they are trying to suppress customers for telling the truth.
