Answer:	It's not waterproof but the exterior is glossy. Its nicely made. Will hold a round blush and round powder compact, plus 2 average size eyeshadow (rectangle style), 1-2 mascaras, 1-2 lipsticks, a makeup brush, room for a travel size hairspray, travel size pack of 10 face wipes. Can fit a pair of reader style eyeglasses (neoprene soft case) as well. Also a few other items like a small pillbox, nail clippers, travel cologne, small prescription bottle. Also holds a full size toothbrush so the length is good, travel toothpaste. I just put all these items in it and I still have room for some small jewelry or watch, few Kleenex.

Answer:	For a backpack I think the size of this kit is too big. Anyhow, the measures are 9.6x8.2x3.3 inches (LxWxH)
Question:	Do the side pockets have pockets or loops or something to keep stuff organized
Answer:	The two side pockets each have a zipper, which zips up (closes) from the bottom front of the bag and just over the top. The side pockets are about 1-1/2" wide and deep. There are no internal dividers in these pockets. In the central section, there are two back pockets that work for me for a razor in one, and anti-perspirant in the other (no zippers). There is also a large pocket in the front flap that is very useful when open and hanging. Behind the front flap (in the front of the main body) is a small flat semi-clear zipped pocket which is good for nail clippers, tablets, or other small/flat items.I use the side pockets to hold medications (pill bottles fit nicely), toothbrush (with cover), toothpaste or other tubes/ointments/etc. I use all the space in the bag and the side pockets help split the contents into easily-accessible compartments instead of packing everything into the center large area.

Answer:	I am traveling with my new bag and do not have exact measurements but it has a much smaller main compartment than most. It has smaller bottom compartment with 3 dividers. It sits much higher than most and is narrower. A little difficult to fit everything comfortably vs standard kits.

Answer:	The bag I recently purchased is 9.5” wide and zips open on both the front and back sides. Front side (the side w extra zip pocket) is roomy enough to hold a small hand mirror, 2 hair brushes, 2 combs, regular sized pump hairspray, a lint roller and an extra claw, plus more small items in the 3 pouches on lid. Back zip space is flat but can also hold things like hair clips, extra combs, scrunchies, barrettes, etc. I’m super pleased with mine.
