Answer:	I use it to prevent getting too much sun. It’s 70 spf. It works well for that. I find that if I’m in the sun longer than three hours, I get burned with any sunscreen except this one. . I can’t seem to prevent tanning. So I guess to answer your question, I tend to tan with sunscreen applied. This is the only sunscreen I don’t get burned with. And it’s PABA and paraben free so no irritation.

However, if you're covering three adult bodies and you're planning to be in the sun most of the time...you may be safest with two, though you may not need two. It's really tough to say. But, I will say that this is the safest and best product to protect your skin. Do expect to look "glossy" until the base has been absorbed. Enjoy your cruise

Question:	Is there any reason this cannot be used on adults
Answer:	It could be used for adults. Be warned though that it comes out as chalk and is impossible to rub in. We used it a few times before giving up.
Question:	Ia there zinc oxide in the spray
Answer:	The ingredients state yes, but it is also contains Octisalate, one of the chemical sunscreens the FDA is re evaluating because it can be absorbed by skin and may cause health problems. According to the EWG it's hasn't been detected in breast milk or shown (yet) to be a hormonal disruptor like most of the other chemical sunscreens, but it's still a chemical sunscreen :( Personally I think this brand is 'greenwashing' (You know 'Babyganics" is supposed to make you think 'organic' aka safe) because of the chemical sunscreen and other weird ingredients that you have to be a chemist to understand. I haven't found many, but there are safer options, just avoid ones with unstable oils like sunflower (which unfortunately is the majority of 'safer'/natural ones). I bought "Zero Sunscreen" but haven't tried it yet. WaxHead ones look to be safe too. I would avoid Badger as it contains sunflower oil. Everyone has to do their own research of course, but if anyone is looking for baby/kid sunscreen please skip the chemical ones for their sake, there are safer options.

I make sure not to get any on their hands, but all it takes is for my toddler to start crying (for whatever reason), she rubs her eyes, and then I'm dealing with several hours of screaming due to her painful and very red eyes. My preschooler says it feels like her eyes are bleeding. I've even gotten it in my own eyes, just from rubbing when I'm tired, and it really does burn.

Answer:	I've found that mineral based doesn't always mean only minerals. If you want try Neutrogena pure and free baby sunscreen. It only contains titanium dioxide and zinc oxide

Answer:	Our whole family uses it. Everyone loves how it smells!

Answer:	It does leave a white cast when you first put it on, but it then blends pretty well. If there is any cast after blending, it is truly very minor.
Question:	Does this stain clothes or sting the eyes? Is it safe for a 6 month old baby
Answer:	I started using it on my son when he was 6 months old. Never had any clothes stained and he never experienced eye stinging.
Question:	Why is there a bpa warning on this sunscreen? Does it contain bpa
Answer:	I have done extensive research on sunscreen with lots of trial and error. This is, hands down, the safest and most effective sunscreen on the market (if used properly). It specifically says "BPA free" (along with parabens, etc...) in terms of product ingredients. All plastic tubes will have some chemical (some studies suggest non BPA chemicals can be even more harmful) that will leach especially when heated. This is likely why there is a reminder on the bottle to keep it out of heat or direct sun. You cannot avoid this with any sunscreen. This is a great sunscreen and I trust it on my kids. But, it has to be applied correctly, and often, in the summer - just like any sunscreen. Hope this helps.

UVA & UVB Broad-Spectrum

Consumers have been led to believe that ultra-high SPF numbers like 70 and 100 provide much more protection than SPF 30. This is False. SPF 30 provides 97% protection from UVB and SPF 100 provides 99% coverage for UVB. We tell folks if you look at the back of the tube and you see a bunch of words you don’t recognize, you probably don’t want to put that on your skin. It is important that you’re using a truly Broad-spectrum formula that covers UVA and UVB.

Mineral Based Formula

Chemical sunscreens make up the majority of the market unfortunately. They are both cheap and apply clear. Mineral based solutions can cause some amount of whitening during use and are also more expensive. But at what cost is it cheaper. Some mineral base formulations have also taken to using clear zinc or nano particle sized zinc or titanium. We recommend sourcing a non-nano zinc oxide solution. There is just not enough data on the ability for nano particles getting into the blood stream. As such, it is better to embrace the Precautionary principle.

Water Resistant

There are now three levels of water resistance. Not water resistant, water resistant (40 minutes) and water resistant (80 minutes). We have all become used to seeing words like sweatproof or waterproof. There are now very specific tests. Keep in mind, that if you’re at the beach or pool that you’ll need to reapply after being in the water. And to achieve the SPF factor of your sunscreen you have to reapply every two hours. One application does not keep you at SPF 50 or whatever is on the sunscreen label. And you should be using about 1oz to cover an adult body.

Tips for Application

1. Be sure to apply all areas that will be exposed to sunlight, including behind the ears, neck, hands, feet, and scalp 15 minutes before sun exposure.
2. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating, immediately after towel drying, at least every 2 hours.
3. While the sunscreen applies very easily, we recommend not spreading it too thin. Otherwise you will decrease the effectiveness of the sunscreen.

The majority of sunscreens currently on the market are full of questionable ingredients and known carcinogens. Simply looking at the ingredients you'll quickly realize you don't recognize any of them. Many existing sunscreens have been brought to market with little concern for their safety. It feels very comforting to your skin, especially if your skin is already very sensitive or irritated from something else - sunburn, glycolic acids, Retin-A usage, etc. I do find that at night, it takes a double cleanse and a washcloth to remove all of the color from your face. It is waterproof for up to i0 mins...
Question:	Does it dry your skin? I have very dry skin
Answer:	I’ve been using it for about a year and never noticed it was drying until I read these reviews and then noticed that it may be a tiny bit drying but this is without using a moisturizer so I will try adding moisturizer to my face. I just ordered the darker tint and I really like it. I’m very pale, mainly because I always use sunscreen, and I hate using foundation so I love this tinted sunscreen. I’m 60 and I have normal skin.
Question:	Are there any chemicals in this sunscreen or is it 100% natural
Answer:	Even water is a "chemical," dihydrogen monoxide. Chemical does not mean bad or good, natural or unnatural. Each ingredient in every cosmetic product or food you will ever experience is a chemical. I think the better way to go about this inquiry is to ask if any artificial or synthetic ingredients are in the formula, and it is very rare to find any cosmetic without some of these. Even if the original source of an ingredient was a botanical source, it often takes artificial chemical processes to isolate or convert the substance into the final material, which is added to the cosmetic formula. It is virtually impossible to to make a completely "natural product" without some synthetic chemical manipulation of raw materials, even if you do not use artificially created ingredients.
Question:	What color is the tint
Answer:	I would caution that the tint is too dark if you wear porcelain/super light foundations. I can’t wear most drugstore foundations because I am too pale. I wear the lightest IT Cosmetics shade, shade 1N2 in Estee Lauder (the neutral shade of the palest color), etc. I can only wear this sunscreen when I am also wearing sunless tanner. Then, I can wear it alone with some bronzer on top, or my favorite foundation mixed with liquid bronzer. I absolutely love this foundation, but it isn’t for the palest or most fair among us.

What is SPF

SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor. It is a measure used worldwide to indicate the level of sunscreen protection. Using an SPF 15 sunscreen means it will take 15 times longer for skin to begin to burn than it would without sunscreen.

There are two types of ultraviolet (UV) light that can harm your skin- UVA and UVB. A Broad Spectrum sunscreen protects you from both. UVB rays are primarily responsible for causing sunburn while UVA rays are associated with skin aging.

The recommended amount of sunscreen for the average person is 1 Fl Oz. A simple way to remember how much sunscreen to apply is imagine the amount of sunscreen that would fit in a shot glass or the size of a golf ball. Sunscreen should be applied 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every 2 hours or immediately after swimming, sweating or drying off.

Traditional vs Mineral Sunscreens
