| Answer: | The ingredients state yes, but it is also contains Octisalate, one of the chemical sunscreens the FDA is re evaluating because it can be absorbed by skin and may cause health problems. According to the EWG it's hasn't been detected in breast milk or shown (yet) to be a hormonal disruptor like most of the other chemical sunscreens, but it's still a chemical sunscreen :( Personally I think this brand is 'greenwashing' (You know 'Babyganics" is supposed to make you think 'organic' aka safe) because of the chemical sunscreen and other weird ingredients that you have to be a chemist to understand. I haven't found many, but there are safer options, just avoid ones with unstable oils like sunflower (which unfortunately is the majority of 'safer'/natural ones). I bought "Zero Sunscreen" but haven't tried it yet. WaxHead ones look to be safe too. I would avoid Badger as it contains sunflower oil. Everyone has to do their own research of course, but if anyone is looking for baby/kid sunscreen please skip the chemical ones for their sake, there are safer options. |
