Answer:	It isn't a substitute for cleaning, it IS for cleaning. Each pad is already moistened, and has cleansing abilities. Wet your face, and start scrubbing. One side is soft, for the tissue beneath the eyes, and the other side of the pad is somewhat textured for cleansing the rest of your face. Rinse well, and apply your favorite moisturizer.
