Answer:	Yes. I ordered several and they do make a piercing sound that's very irritating to a point where when I'm at home, I unplug them, but when I leave, I leave them plugged in. When I first heard it, it took me forever to figure out where the noise was coming from. It's definitely coming from the Ultrasonic Pest Repellents.
