Answer:	I have the same concern about shelf life, so I reached out to the company’s customer service dept. and received the following explanation about the Manufacturing Codes found at the end of each product container:  The way you read the code is, * the first 2 digits are the DAY of the month, * the letter is the MONTH (starting with "A" for January, "B" for February, etc.) * then the digit after the letter is the last number in the YEAR it was manufactured. (7=2017) The shelf life for most of the Alpha products is 3 years from the manufacturing date. I was told that exceptions would be the Retinol products, which only have a 2-year shelf life. Answer:	Yes, I have used Alpha products for years and its not a lotion like the other formulas. This 14% solution should be squirted into your hand, then applied to your face. I'm on my second bottle of this and its done a better job of fading sun spots and fine lines than the less % products.

Answer:	Yes do not mix retinol with this product----the 2 acids will be too much for your skin. I tried using this plus a natural facial lotion that contains retinol and it irritated my skin, made it red, blotchy and broke me out. Once I stopped the retinol product, my skin calmed down.

Answer:	Personally, I use it on off nights from Retin-A because my skin is sensitive

Answer:	I wanted to respond (even though this is older) so that any new customers with the same question would get the accurate answer from the Farmacy team per their website. Because of the ingredients in this serum, it is not recommended to add traditional moisturizer before or after this product. Most moisturizers contain ingredients that neutralize the main ingredients (acid compounds) ph levels that give your skin the most benefits. You can apply a face oil (like their Honey Grail) or oil-balm (like their Sleep Tight which is awesome) after you give this the opportunity to fully absorb into skin (usually 10 mins but the longer the better). As long as it’s an oil based hydrant it should be fine (regardless of brand). It’s always important to understand how ingredients work and what works together vs what doesn’t. Even the very best serums can be completely ineffective if they are followed up with something or applied after something that counteracts the beneficial ingredients.

Although both AHAs and Retinols are great ingredients for everyone's skincare routine with Retinol being a vitamin A derivative that promotes cell turnover and boosts collagen in the skin. AHAs work by exfoliating dead skin cells on your face, revealing the newer, youthful skin beneath and increasing overall radiance. It’s best not to use them together at the same time of the day, as they can counteract each other when applied together, decreasing their effectiveness, and may cause irritation. I would recommend using AHAs in the morning and Retinols at night to get the best result possible. Answer:	Uh, yes. Unless you suddenly get a bad reaction, then stop.

Answer:	I'm no dermatologist, but part of helping with clogged pores is a healthy amount of exfoliation and cell turnover. So far, in my experience, this product has aided me in gentle overnight turnover. But if you have persistent acne and skin troubles, perhaps get a professional opinion first.
Question:	How would i implement this with using hada labo foaming cleanser, hada labo lotion, drunk elephant c-serum and hydraquinone
Answer:	Usually for skincare, when you use actives like AHA, BHA or Vit C, the order in which you apply the products is dependent on the pH of the product (usually low pH first, then higher). After cleansing, it is best to use a pH balancing toner to bring your face to a lower pH (healthy skin is naturally slightly lower). Fortunately, for you, the hada labo brands are usually low pH, so you should be okay. Based on your list, I would recommend something this: cleanser > vit c (wait 10-15 minutes) > aha (wait 10-15 minutes) > hydroquinone > lotionBut just as a precaution, that is A LOT of actives. Both AHA and Vit C are chemical exfoliants. You might want to consider using them on separate days to make sure your skin tolerates it well. Sometimes if you use too much chemical exfoliants, it will dry out your skin or make it too sensitive. Always make sure to moisturize. Sometime people get too excited about using active ingredients and they forget that moisture is also a very important component in skin health. Personally, I think the hada labo lotion will not be enough. Also, I recommend that you be careful about what actives you mix together. They are all very effective ingredients individually, but sometimes they might not work as well together or be very damaging. The AHA + hydroquinone will increase your skin sensitivity drastically, so sunscreen is very important. Also, as a personal preference, I avoid hydroquinone, because it's known to cause irreversible damage in some individuals if not used properly.
Question:	How do you use this in your daily routine
Answer:	Because it's a pretty strong acid serum, I don't use it more than 3 times a week. I usually use it in my night time routine after I have washed and toned my face. After applying and massaging into my skin, I wait 15 minutes to allow for proper absorption. When the times up, I either move to the next serum/creme or just put on my moisturizer. It's worked wonders for my skins texture.
