Question: Is it supposed to sting
Answer: I have the PA278QV using a GTX 1080 and encountered some issues with sleep - using Displayport, the monitor would power off, but my Windows 10 pc would get stuck in some kind of hardware disconnect/reconnect loop (the monitor would turn off, but the pc kept chiming with the hardware audio notification every few seconds)... This seems to prevent the entire system from entering sleep mode correctly. Google reveals that this issue is not unique to this monitor and every "solution" pointing to various W10 power settings I tried did not resolve the problem. Eventually I discovered that changing the 'USB Charging' setting on the monitor from the default "ON during standby" to "OFF during standby" resolved it for me. YMMV, as this seems to be a quirk in the hardware/OS handshaking over various digital ports.
