Answer:	I'm comparing to Lather & Wood face scrub. This feels more like fine sand inside a gel. The Lather & Wood face scrub might be more up your alley if you want a bit more "grit". I shave once or twice a week with a safety razor and this product seems to do a good job of prepping my face for a close and comfortable shave. As a matter of fact I feel like it even adds some lubrication and moisture to your face before you shave. I also use Brickell's shave oil. Very nice combo. Try them both. I like a bit more grit myself but I also can't say I don't approve of this face scrub either. CHOICES!

Answer:	No it doesn't seem to lighten our skin, and I and my family have used it for many years.

Answer:	When I was in my teens through 40’s I used it once a day. Now, in my 60’s-70’s I use it twice a week. It removes the layer of dead skin cells and leaves my skin glowing. You need to see how your skin responds. I moisturize after that very faithfully now at my age. I get lots of people asking what I do for my skin because it looks so nice. Lots of avocados and olives and natural omegas makes a difference too. Good luck.
