Answer:	This would be a question for a Dermotologist. Amlactin is best suited for dry skin, not inflamed hair follicles.

Answer:	Not that I can’t remember. The pump was down, locked position. And there was no lotion in the pump as it took a while to get it going. As in... not used prior. I’ve bought other items like laundry soap that did in fact have a seal.

Answer:	They claim to have 13% of lactic acid, if you know about AHA, that's quite a lot especially if you've never used acids or built a tolerance to it. Usually people starts out with 5-10% as to not cause irritation so I'll say the anount of acid is fine and would be the same for both. In the rapid relief, there's ceramide which is a type of lipid that can be naturally found in our skin that helps with retaining moisture and help protect the skin barrier from irritants. I still get an episode every now and then but now I can easily contain it as long as I keep on moisturizing my skin with said lotions. I only use Aveeno now because Dermaveen has limited distribution here in the US. Unless of course you order one online and have it shipped straight from Australia. :)

Answer:	I can't speak to bumps, but you'll probably be a bit more red the first few days because 15% GA is relatively strong. Just remember you cannot wear it in the sun without proper protection.

Answer:	Hi, the lotion does not contain plastic particles. However, because of the chemistry of salicylic acid, some crystallization may occur when the pH is below 4 (we formulated this lotion below ph of 3.5 to make it as effective as possible). The crystals are harmless and just a solidified form of salicylic acid.

Answer:	I bought it for a dry patch on my shoulder, but it doesn't seem to work any better than other lotions/creams. It isn't medicated like other Gold Bond lotions.

Answer:	I don't recommend using it for a tattoo. The ingredients work to help exfoliate skin, which is not something you want on a new tattoo. Plus, it's super thick, which would have a negative effect on healing time for the tattoo.

Answer:	I think one of the reviews mentioned a lot of sloughing off with this product, but she was, as I recall, framing it as a positive thing, in that she saw it as her bumpy or otherwise problematic skin being removed, and replaced with "better" new skin.I've been using it for 3 weeks now, and I haven't had any problem with it coming off on its own (on bedding or clothes, for example), but because I'd read the aforementioned comment, I've made sure to wash my arms off with a washcloth or brush (lightly) every morning and evening, just in case. Although I haven't, as I say, seen any evidence of the stuff coming off on its own, I have noticed that if I rub my arms after applying the cream (and when it's had the chance to dry), yes, it will rub off, kind of like dead skin.So, I don't know how much of what comes off when I rub it is skin, and how much is the product; I just don't rub my arms.But considering one of my arms has gone from gila monster to baby butt in three weeks, with the other arm almost caught up, and improvement being seen on almost a daily basis, I'd be willing to sacrifice my bedding and a lot more to keep using it!p.s. Is it possible your daughter might be using an unnecessarily heavy layer of the cream? I just put a light film on-- and then rub it in as I would any lotion-- and it's done the trick just fine. Well, just a thought; I know that's probably not it, but just thought I'd mention it on the off chance.

Answer:	Ammonium lactate is a combination of lactic acid and ammonium hydroxide. Ammonium lactate is a moisturizer. Ammonium lactate is used to treat dry, scaly, itchy skin. Ammonium lactate may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Answer:	It’s a chemical exfoliant. I wouldn’t use it on a four year old without consulting a pediatrician...especially if the child is prone to skin irritation.

Answer:	It says not to. I use it sometimes. But not everyday. I use the amlactin body lotion 12% on my face after retna-a at night, then I use the amlactin body lotion on the face in the morning then I put on sunscreen. My dermatologist recommended the 12% amlactin body lotion for my face on top of retna a years ago. The ultra smooth is 15%. You MUST wear sunscreen with it during the daytime. Will make your skin sensitive to the sun. Your face may not tolerate the ultra smooth 15% everyday. I love this stuff too.

Answer:	Actually, if you're talking about those tiny red spots or dots, they're called cherry angiomas. They can be raised or even with the skin. Lotions don't get rid of them. Hair follicles blocked by protein (keratin, to be specific) cause 'bumpy skin' like that on the back of your arms as you age. Those bumps aren't usually red (unless you irritate them); they're usually lighter or darker skin tone. Those can often be managed or reduced (note that I didn't say eliminated) by gentle exfoliating, moisturizing, and the rest of the whole typical skin-care regimen. Some lotions soften the keratin plugs so they can be exfoliated more easily.
