Answer:	Hi, The individual bars are all wrapped in recyclable paper, and all 6 bars come in a beautiful gift box which is also recyclable. The main box is wrapped in plastic due to amazon regulations on packaging. But that is the only plastic used on this product. We have reached out to amazon regarding the plastic on the box, but we have not received an answer yet.

Answer:	I emailed the company asking and here was their response: “The palm oil currently used in our soap collections is NOT ethically sourced. After listening to the community and our customers we now understand the major environmental consequence of the palm oil usage in our collections. Many in the community have offered an incredible wealth of information on possible vegan oil substitutes. After a tremendous amount of research we believe that finding a certified sustainable palm oil source will be the best way to commit to our environmentally friendly ideals. This way we can be assured the oil we are using is being cultivated in the most sustainable way with as minimal damage to the eco-system as possible. We have currently put production on hold until we find a suitable, trusted and certified supplier of sustainable palm oil. Answer:	Yep. Saponified oils of (olive, sustainable palm, coconut), Shea butter, lye, pine tar, oatmeal, sand, sea salt, activated charcoal, kaolin clay. The smell of the Pine Tar scent is quite strong, but the soap is really great for sensitive skin.

Answer:	Yes it's 7 dollars on website but with tax and shipping it comes to 10.44 per bar. Your actually saving .49 cents at the end of the transaction.

Answer:	Hard to say for these reasons. (1) The Eucalyptus bar is made with yogurt. (2) The Aloe bar does NOT list aloe as an ingredient. (3) EVERY box of Dr. Squatch soap is labeled 5 ounces, and EVERY bar I have tested was 4.66 ounces or LESS. One bar was 4.2 ounces (see my review for more info). So you can’t trust what’s on the box. Also, there are no claims on the box that the product is vegan. But even if there were, based on glaring discrepancies I can see, it’s essentially impossible to know with confidence what’s in the soap, or if it's cruelty free.

But don't worry, they somehow made this soap so that everything it attracts actually lines up in front of you and waits for you to pick your fancy. I do not see any reference to "free of sulfates" on the Pre de Province web site; this might be something added by the reseller. Normally, sulfates are not an issue. Some people are sensitive to sulfites that are used as a preservative in many products, including wines. Thus, products are sometimes labeled "free of sulfites", but the term "free of sulfates" would be unusual. Most people do not understand the chemical difference between sulfites and sulfates, so I suspect they meant sulfite free. Obviously the shower get does contain sulfates, but not sulfites. Sodium laureth sulfate, a shortened form of sodium lauryl ether sulfate, is a very common anionic detergent and surfactant that is found in many different liquid hand soaps, shampoos, shower gels, household cleaning products, and even toothpaste. It is an inexpensive cleansing agent and foaming agent. That is why it is so commonly used. Any detergent, including sodium laureth sulfate, can be an irritant to sensitive skin, especially the membranes of the eyes, nose and mouth. That is why babies cry when shampoo gets in their eyes. For most people, when used according to directions, sodium laureth sulfate does not pose a health issue. However, if you have a known sensitivity to sodium laureth sulfate or any other ingredient in the shower gel, you should avoid it.

Generally the more alkaline they are, the more effectively they clean, however higher alkalinity is also associated with that squeaky clean feeling (oils being stripped from the skin *not good) Conventional bar soap is actually solid detergent and is usually close to 12pH which is exponentially higher in alkalinity than our bars.
