Answer:	It can be taken back apart, but not very easy. It been so long since I had to assemble that cabinet. I'm a retired carpenter. With that said, when I did assemble it I thought it needed some improvements. So, I glued both sides of the dowels. That was a bad move on my part. When I had to disassemble it to move to another house, I could only partially disassemble it. Don't make the same mistake. Glue only one side of the dowels. Mark or note which dowels you glued. When you disassemble the desk, remember the sequence you put it together. Make notes if you have to. You'll thank yourself later. Another thing to consider is remembering how long it took you to assemble it. When you disassemble it, chances are you won't totally disassemble it to back to "flat pack" conditions . One more thing, if and when you do decide to disassemble it for moving purposes, wrap all wood parts with blankets or something equal to protect the finish.
