I was also worried that the tips wouldn't meet because maybe they're cheaply made, but it's absolutely not a problem. These are great quality. I have never tried to use them on hardware or crafts, maybe if you did that they'd get misshapen, but for hairs and splinters, no problem.

Answer:	Yes, the handle and back end are wider than the average tweezer. But with them not being longer, they are comfortable to hold. To me, these are better than any others out there. I hope this helps.

Question:	Are the silver ones good for eyebrow plucking or do they cut the skin
Answer:	In my opinion these were horrible for me when it comes to tweezing my eyebrows. I have thick coarse eyebrows and these tweezers barely grabbed the hairs that were just at the surface. They were a little sharp though and if you’re not careful you could very well cut your skin.

Answer:	I've never purchase them individually but I can tell you the quality far exceeded my expectation! The pointed one is extremely sharp. I like that one the best between the two (although I have not been able to try the other one yet). I've had them for a few weeks now and it hasn't dull or rusted. So I'd say the quality is exceptional. Worth the buy. I would buy again if I had to ever replace. Hope this helps.
