Of course a company like Braun would never put out an orphaned product. I'm guessing there was a short-term supply problem back then? Watch out when shopping... there is more than one style cutter head for the series 5 Shavers. You need the type number which is only number that is unique to your shaver. I finally found it on my shaver under the cutter head. The front page of the manual shows Model 5762 for the one I got. Then manual also lists the 53B cutter head assembly. So keep your manual! You will also need it to reset the cutter replacement indicator. Amazon is only showing one. It is $31.72 but there is $11.26 shipping from the UK. Walmart has it on their website for $29.90 with free shipping.

Answer:	the top can be opened and I assume the blades can also be replaced. I had a similar one for almost 5 yr, i cleaned every couple month and i never replaced the blades.

Answer:	I disagree with the previous answer. Even though there is no pop-up trimmer, the buzzer in between the two foil shavers clips the hair down to a length that you can then shave with the foil shavers. It is good for body hair if you want to shave it all off; I do it all the time.

Answer:	Very close. It has several removable attachments for stubble, beard mustache trim, but the main shaving attachment gives the closest electric shave I’ve ever had. The battery fully charged lasts quite a while without recharging. Depends on how often you shave and how long you do it but I’ve gotten a long time on one charge. Great shaver, made in Germany.

Answer:	I'm pretty satisfied with this Razor but I think you have to take into consideration how often you shave. The longer your beard the more difficulty you'll have, if I let it go for more than 2-3 days I'll use a beard trimmer first. I've used Norelco products for as long as I can remember but the fancier they got the more poorly they performed and inordinately expensive to maintain ($50.+ for replacement blades recommended 2X yearly). This whole razor cost much less than that and works better read and follow the directions and I think you'll be satisfied.
Question:	Does the M60 come with a built in brush for cleaning
Answer:	Your hair must be stubble length to begin with. No more that 2-3 days growth. If you are doing daily maintenance you should have no problem. Take your time and do small sections at a time and you should be able to maintain your shaved head.
Question:	Can it remove those pesky hairs that grow on the edge of the ear
Answer:	Short answer is yes, it will work fine for African American hair, because “foil style” shavers in general are better for razor bumps. Lifting the hair from the pore prior to cutting is what can lead to bumping up. After cutting the whiskers can retract, resulting in it being cut below the surface where it becomes trapped and infected. Rotary shavers and multi-blade wet razors often do this and that’s why bumping is a problem with them. Additionally, some people have an allergy to nickel, which is why on our Bump-Free shaver (Model #7339) we have used hypoallergenic titanium coated foils to reduce inflammation caused by allergic reaction. If the skin becomes enflamed it can have the same result as lifting and cutting by putting the whisker below the skins surface. So the Bump-Free shaver may be a better choice if you have a nickel allergy. Hope this helps you to make the right choice to avoid bumping up.

Answer:	It Uses Braun 83M Series 8 Replacement Foil and Cutter Cassette which is almost $50

Answer:	Yes, bars show the amount of charge. I bought it for my husband, who liked the previous version, and he is very happy with this update so far and says he likes it a lot.
Question:	Do you still rinse the shaver head each morning
Answer:	I rinse it with head on, then with head off. Put back together, then place in holder w/o charging it. I use my Braun 2-3 times weekly. Will put through the actually wash cycle on base once a month, maybe twice. Hope this helps.

Answer:	No, this is not a model designed for the trimming of beards. There are no attachments for different beard lengths only a flip-up trimmer for sideburns.

Question:	Is this really painful
Answer:	No, but it charges quickly. As soon as I'm done I plug it in for about 30-60 minutes and it seems to keep its charge.

Answer:	yes, but at a price. My epilator head stopped working just a year after I bought it. I checked their website and a replacement epilator head is $108! I also checked for a new pumice head and it was over $20. I am so sad that I invested this much money in. a product that didn't last.

How to epilate: tips for first-time users

Evenings are the best time for epilation; you’re more relaxed, and any minor bumps will be gone by the morning! The best preparation is exfoliating in warm water. It will leave your skin clean and relaxed and will help to reduce those dreaded ingrown hairs. Use an exfoliating scrub or mitt, or we recommend our Braun Silk-epil SkinSpa innovative exfoliating brush for 4X better results than manual scrubbing.

When epilating, hold your epilator so that it feels natural. Hold at a 90-degree angle to your legs and run the epilator in an upward motion against the direction of hair growth. There’s no need to press down too hard; simply touch the epilator lightly on the skin. Braun Silk-epil Wet & Dry can be used in the bath or shower for additional comfort. The massaging rollers also help to minimize discomfort. With regular use, epilation becomes virtually painless.
