Answer:	Alcohol only. I used warm water and noticed that the blades started rusting, which gave me an infection. Really bad that they don't use stainless steel blades in this trimmer.

Answer:	Put it in your nose, squeeze and release....then pull it out and rotate a little, then back in your nose and squeeze. Keep doing the "in, out, squeeze and rotate until the hairs are cut. The hairs must go into the slots on the end of the cutter.
