Perhaps it won't look professional, but I'll always know my adorable little dog is not mistreated. However, I think what you're referring to is the thinning scissors. Answer:	Well for me it’s the round tip vs. the pointed tip. If your using them to clip nose hair you defiantly want that rounder tip to put in your nose. Style 2 has a VERY sharp tip, so for me it’s safty and comfort. I use style 2 more for trimming my mustache and beard. Hope that helps.

Answer:	It fits right and left hand the same way, but the position of the blades changes from right to left. Not sure how this will affect cutting hair.

Answer:	Yes. I actually used these scissors to cut my split ends. They were very sharp and cut concisely.

Answer:	Best I can tell, "cutting A" the angle between the handles and blade is ever so slightly greater than "B", and "B" has either textured or padded finger rings, and a finger-rest that is not integral to the scissor frame (A finger-rest is a part of the rings and is curved, B's finger-rest is a screw-in or staked-on brass straight post). Rest of the scissor is the same. Hope this helps.
Question:	Anyone know of a way to sharpen them
Answer:	I bought the 6.5 inch scissors, and do use them to cut hair and bangs, but add angled cuts up into bangs by pointing upwards with the tips. But I would think that the thinning shears would also work nicely to 'fringe' the end of your bangs. I don't own the thinners, though - and think the 6.5 inch barber scissors work very nicely.
